For Louisville, I'd have to say The Red Apple from Rotterdam:

I would want to see Iron Quarter built, and then The red apple put across the street from it, incorporating the existing historical facades facing main street into the design.

Yeah, I don't know what it is, but something just kind of fits about that building and Louisville. Its the right height and scale, the color is just friggin cool, and that base would look great with some cast iron facades on it, I think.

Two Buildings for Charlotte. We all know what charlotte lacks, and thats historic skyscrapers. While we have a couple in the 20 story range, I'd like for us to have some in the 200m range, you know a lil shorter than hearst tower, so here my two picks. While I'm at it I'd like to steal a whole neighborhood, Gramercy, and plop it down in 3rd ward.

Metlife Tower NYC.
and

clevelands terminal tower.

Interesting choice for OKC SRG.

For OKC I would choose 300 North Lasalle in Chicago. I think it would look wonderful next to Devon Tower and would add a nice middle step in blending it in with the rest of the skyline. It would sit at 785 ft. Just about right to be between a 500 footer and a 925 footer.

I personally think I'm more interested in getting more cutting edge design in OKC (because that's something that's really taken on in OKC), which Devon is borderline for, but LaSalle just looks far too corporate to me, even though you can't disagree in that it's stunning. It's a different kind of stunning than the Turning Torso.

Can you explain why? Is there any significance to that other than creating a skyline for a city that doesn't have much of one? seriously. That's the point of this thread.

Wow SRG, what's with you? He didnt even mention OKC.

Winston Salem has a decent and certainly notable skyline, IMO:

I was just thinking about the Soleil Center. Very sad that it didn't work out. People were really excited about that project.

I want Charlotte's Duke Energy Center in downtown Norfolk. It fits into the skyline well, and we really lack unique architecture.

Wouldn't mind seeing the proposed River Tower move downtown as well.

Charlotte needs one supertall (but not too tall). Put it somewhere between BofA building and the Duke building.

Two Prudential Plaza from Chicago would look excellent.

For sure...at least as good as Tulsa, which he mentioned earlier. What a douche.
