Post #242 is the official renders on the construction fence. The tallest looks about 550m. Remember that not everything is finalized yet, plans can change somewhat, but the distribution and heights on the fence renders seem about right to me. One has to remember that this is a real project in the real world! It is actually happening, not just fantasy! And so has to function as part of a functioning city. While we would have loved a full rim of megatalls the current plan is still quite stunning.

we do know there's a height restriction in that area...anything above 500m is highly unlikely...

so what do we have?
on the first post we can see the first concept of the whole district
then we got the first plot layouts for the 'A'-area with 5 possible supertalls
A area overview
B Area or part of B Area with tons of skyscrapers, but only one supertall, which is named at 450m and 100floors though
model of the heart of the CBD
Lots of boards on the site:1,2,3
Information diagrams that seems to suggest that there are no buildings in the whole CBD taller than 400m, with also plot details on skyscrapers and one supertall, not sure which area exactly
L plots, with LA,LH,LG,LF all being announced between 310m-330m, the other information seems all confusing to me
And more information on G and L plots. anyone who can read more complicated chinese, could maybe tell me what exactly these numbers and figures mean, because i start doubting i understood them correctly with so many numbers over 300

can someone please tell me what the numbers mean, i just cannot believe that all these plots are over 300m, that would just be nuts, but even with my limited chinese "高度为300-330米之间" means height is between 300m and 330m, sadly can't read much of the other stuff, so i would be thankful for clearing it up

also it would be cool if we could find or construct a map with the different areas or zones.

Do you guys realize that we don't even know where did they find those images, if they were manually edited by anyone, if they are final, etc? We opened this thread because of an official news release according to which they have proposed an 800m landmark tower for Qianhai, likely within the main skyscraper core. That core area hasn't published the plot map afaik. And therefore not even sourceless-rumour-lovers can deny the possibility of the 800m tower.

Besides, even out of the main core of supertalls we have confirmed a 450m tower. If we pay attention to that confirmed 450 plot in the concept images of the whole Qianhai masterplan, we can notice that it looked way shorter than the core towers.

The truth is, we still have no idea what the final outcome will be. Maybe they will build tens of 300m, with none being taller than 450m. Or maybe the supertall core will host a cluster of 500-800m. Too soon to say, we should just rely on official release, and the official stuff is: 800m proposed in Qianhai. And unlike the troll hordes that infest all skyscraper forums, I'll credit my position with real sources

There's no reason to revise the title of this thread till we confirm the top heights of every sub-area.

most of these diagrams that were posted here seem to be straight from a website, if we knew what website it was we could check if the pictures were altered or if the website was not official, however the screenshots seem to be posted just on gaoloumi with no link to the actual websites, which makes that pretty hard to clarify

is that confirmed tower and petrochemical exchange one and the same, or do we have no idea which exact plot it is. no news on that one for one and a half years anyway, all these projects are so far away still and in early stages. the 450m tower seems to be part of the first phase though (@3:50 in video). yet it also says 2010-2012 and only shows really short buildings otherwise, so the data is probably outdated by many many years before the plan of a 800m tower or a huge qianhai development even came to mind.

edit: the 450m tower has its own thread here: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...light=shenzhen

Yup, it'll probably take years before we have something solid about the main plots. But who knows.

It wouldn't be the first time they troll renders with invented heights

Remember this? Don't trust anything we can't prove with official sources.

I really don't get it.. what's the point to make things up, does it make someone look better.. I do get it if someone wants to round height's up to get your beloved tower on certain list, but still it's better a bitter truth than a sweet lie.

Firstly, it started with 800 m !

So, is it still 500+ m in height?

This is such a huge project, (almost an entire new city) that good urban planning and design are much more critical than the presence of a megatall.

Qianhai targets Hong Kong firms in land auctions

Sounds promising. The infrastructure is set to be finished by 2016 which makes me hopeful to maybe some of the bigger buildings start by then as well

The lower picture is exactly the same as the one that made us say Qianhai would have several 500+ skyscrapers. The tallest surely looks taller than 350m and we already have a thread of a 450m skyscraper that seems pretty far along in planning so im sceptical of those heights(Im mostly hopeful that we will get something taller in reality) .
