Think the 68,000 number was just an original estimate, now that tiers and seating are being finalised, assume that is the actual total number of seats now.

I dont know because I never went to South Africa. How is the autumn-winter (the stations of the next cup) in the host cities. is so cold? Is warm? Is true that in Durban the temperature in winter is of 25 degrees in the afternoon? Sorry, but, I dont know it. and is interesant know more about the climate during the cup.

Some world cup stadium will have a light effect how the allianz arena maybe?

Hi Brasil2014. Depend where you going. most host city dont snow during winter but yeah it cold. Actually Durban is the warmest city where the weather never freeze, actually during winter in durban in morning we have average 15 degree and afternoon 22-25 degree. Also you may able to swim in Indian Ocean during winter time .

As light effect? I'm sure there will be. i'm sure you have see the picture of durban stadium.

The Cape Town (Green Point Stadium) looks most like the Allianz Stadium, but most stadia in S.Africa will be spectacular and I'm sure all will have very impressive lighting, especially Durban's stadium with it's 100m high arch.

Cape Town has weather like central Chile in winter. Cool, windy and wet in winter usually, with bright, still, cool days interspersed in between. No snow on ground, snows often on mountains. Min: 6C/Max:16C

Port Elizabeth, similar to Cape Town, but less rain and slightly warmer. Wind is a problem.
Min: 6C/Max:18C

Durban, warm and subtropical, very few rain days, mostly sunny (like southern Brazil) Min: 15C/Max:23C

Johannesburg/Pretoria area: Jo'burg is always 2 degrees colder than Pretoria, both have a continental climate, like Curitiba, but Jo'burg is maybe cooler. Dry, sunny, crisp winters. Seldom snows.
Min: 0C/Max:15C

Bloemfontein: Similar to Johannesburg, nights are colder. Almost always dry and sunny in winter. Seldom snows.
Min: -3C/Max:15C

Just an estimate and quick synopsis.

Green Point stadium is a combination of:

Emirates Stadium
Berlin Olympic Stadium

Its lighting is not meant to be like Allianz. The stadium will glow from the inside like a lantern rather than shine. Its meant to be elegant rather than "pop" like Allianz. It is also larger than Allianz in width and length and capacity.

and to those "pro Newlands" people, take a visit to Green Point. The atmosphere at night for any rugby match would be electric.

With Green Point stadium you literally are on top of the field. Its so intimate the stadium actually feels small.
