It's not about these photos, he means if you drive 15 miles you are in nowhere. That's not understandable for 'western' people. There is always something there

It is the truth, i am not saying one is superior to the other.. far more european or american cities are larger in scale, but less dens. It's just something comepletely different to us.

In flanders (belgium) you can never drive more than 5miles without crossing the next town.
It has 6.5 million People spread over 13
000km2

I do agree with the 'middle of nowhere' crowd.

Will it stop my fascination with such a building? Absolutely not.
Will it stop me regularly visiting this thread? Absolutely not.

And while it will be an impressive height, if built, I still find buildings much more exciting. If Dubai wants to keep it's crown, why don't they resurrect the Al Burj project.. now that would be quite something.

Thats a fair question, i live in saudi and i don't know the answer to that cause nothing makes sense here... my guess is yess cause Jeddah is more progressive.
