I think some businesses have moved into the 16th floor, and then they're fitting in a new restaurant at the ground floor.

I think it is hard to get tenants, because the financial crisis hit very hard on Iceland.

its a very weird project

but somehow the contrast with the little houses is interesting... but social and economic consequences?
I like that the final result of the building is still quite similar with the first conceptual renderings, images we saw on in this thread

Turninn / PK Arkitektar

Architects: PK Arkitektar
Location: Reykjavik, Iceland
Design Team: Pßlmar Kristmundsson, Fernando de Mendonša, Dagni Wiest, Leonardo Colucci, Helge
Garke, Thˇrsteinn Geirharsson
Area: 23,000 sqm
Year: 2010

From the architect. Reykjavikĺs skyline is dominated, not so much by the cityĺs low-level urban massing,
but more by the backdrop of blue, white and grey mountains in the distance. Therefore, any addition to the
skyline must take its geographical and topographical context into consideration. The building in this case
faces the bay of ReykjavÝk and the mountain Esja across. Read more on ArchDaily.
