Names of Kolkata, Mumbai & Pune franchises seems good, all others are just fancy comic names.

Why temporary sheds ?

It should have been a permanent structure like the National Games Village in Koramangala, Bangalore.

There is no land for a permanent facility. This land will be given back once the games are over. The prefab structures will be dismantled and sold to various entities.

It just doesn't make sense in spending more on permanent structures without a planned utility for future. The maintenance of these will cause a lot for the exchequer. Moreover, restricting the use of land which could be utilized better in the future.

But this is not Bangalore..here land availability is less and I do not think the quality of the village at Bangalore could have replicated here with our financial condition..

Moreover, authorities in Bangalore feels it is the best city in India for an Olympics if ever India get one. This is also due to the land availability in the city outskirts unlike Mumbai or Delhi..

I was expecing it to supass the NG Village in Koramangala, Bangalore. But in Kerala they have spread it across all the districts instead of focusing on one apt place. Who ever has done it just did not get it right.
Atleast they could have given one Koramangala games village like infrastrucuture to one city in Kerala

The cycle tracks in Pune, NGV are well known example. You said it. If the city does not have the growth hopes of a Megapolis, why spent money on permanent structures. It will just drain money like our Kaloor stadium.

NO Rule that NG can he held in Capitals alone. In PUNE it was held and best infrastructure till today. Why Kerala cannot find any other city than Capital to hold the meet. ?

You are correct. Infact, unlike other National Games..the next games is called National Games Kerala than known by any specific city name.

The games will be held from Kannur to Trivandrum (7 to 8 cities) (almost 500 Kms distance) and this happens only Kerala.

Red Star FC Foot ball Academy, near Kuttannellur (nh bypass) Thrissur

This Academy is trained by Jopaul Anchery

Our goal is to produce world class footballers who would go on to represent the nation and bring laurels to it, starting from the FIFA U-17 world cup to be held in India during the year 2017

Web site:http://www.redstarfcthrissur.com/facilities.php
Welcome to Red Star FC
Red Star FC is located at Kuttanellur in the central district of Thrissur in Kerala. Football is the most popular sport in Kerala, a state situated in the south of India. Especially in the northern and central parts-Malabar province-of Kerala, the fans are as passionate and vociferous as the football lovers of Latin America or Europe. Thrissur district, which falls in this region, has a rich tradition and pedigree in football having produced quality footballers like I M Vijayan, Joe Paul Ancheri, C V Pappachan, Victor Manjila, C D Francis, T K Chathunni etc.. These men have represented India with distinction in international competitions. Red Star FC intends to continue this tradition and aspires to be the flag bearer of football in the state of Kerala. In spite of huge fan following and a population exceeding one billion, India has been a gross under achiever in the world of football. After the glorious 50s and 60s, the graph of Indian football took a nosedive and now finds itself in a precarious position.

Red Star FC and the team of entrepreneurs behind it fully realizes the importance of grassroot level development in football. Hence the club lays great emphasis on talent scouting at a young age. The handpicked talent then undergoes scientific training under the watchful eyes of trainers with International exposure and expertise. They are provided with world class training in the game of football and also with excellent educational facilities. This ensures the complete development of recruits. It is a residential program and the recruits are from different parts of Kerala.

The driving force behind the club is a dedicated team of football loving business men and a bunch of youngsters who work tirelessly in order to live their passion. Even though coaching camps have been conducted since the dawn of this millennium, 2014 is a watershed year in the history of the club with the entry of our patron and the board of directors providing it with the much needed fillip and financial support. We look forward to the day on which an Indian team with our alumni in its ranks will line up for a FIFA World cup final round match fans passionately waving the tricolor on the stands.
