That is better yeah but why cant they match the design like the old one such as balcony and window shapes? And whats with the top floor? Cant they make it the same design as ground and first floors? :/

Beit Sefer Ironi building

Can anyone tell me what's going on with the 'Beit Sefer Ironi' building on the corner of Ahad Ha'am and Netter? I see that it's been blocked off along with the building next door. I recall someone posting a string of renovation pics which included said building, claiming there were 'big plans' for the area, but they didn't specify what that meant. Please don't tell me they're planning on tearing down this architectural gem

Slowly advancing, they started assembling the pavement on the edges of the square, seems like pedestrians will have a nice and wide pavement.

Shalom station

Correction: the article talks about both Shalom and Savidor stations.
It is also incorrect in its conclusion.
Savidor will open in a few months (I think in November) and Shalom extension will open about a year later, or maybe even in early 2019.

Adjacent to HaShalom bridge, to the South- while the current station is to the North of the bridge. Much of the new terminal's frame is already in place.

It's sort of a mistranslation; they are new passenger halls / entrances, not terminals.

Jacob Samuel Hotel. I wish they built more like these on main streets.

Are they gonna at least find a way to keep the glass roof clean this time?
The glass roof on the existing "Hashalom Station" is so dirty you can barely see it's made of glass.

Are you sure its glass?
I thought its some kind of a metal actually.
And the answer to your question is obviously no
This station is likely the dirtiest train station in Israel with the diesel trains and the large amount of train traffic (+ car traffic on Ayalon).
It will only become cleaner (and it will make sense to clean it) once the electrification project is completed and number of diesel trains running through is reduced dramatically.
But thats still years away.

The thing needed in train stations is a/c
they shouldnt build any station open air in winter the rain and winds
and in summer the heat.. at least the entry should be a/c with doors
leading to the platforms
now in sep. its ok, but we all remember theres very cold days in winter
and very hot days in summer
