A planning application has been submitted for a temporary car on part of the Eastside site until the new Broadmarsh car park has been built.

This has been submitted by the council, with this in mind, does this mean that the council now own the site with the recent developer losing the site, meaning any plans have once again fallen through?

A planning application has been submitted to demolish the old job centre on Station Street (#25 Station Street), next to the tram viaduct. No plans for the replacement building yet though.

That looks to be in preparation for the construction of 11 Station Street, as they will have this site to hold all construction equipment by the looks of things.

It is also forward thinking preparation should 25 Station Street ever rise also.

Excellent! Broadmarsh car park, Carpark/office on Unity Square and now this.

Some of the ugliest buildings 'Southside' imo.

I think the Job Centre is a charming example of 20th Century architecture and could be refurbished for family housing...

The bottom floor of Waterstones at the top end of Bridlesmith Gate which has been having building works for years now is now carrying signage saying "Fatface Coming Soon".

Love the look of the Derby Rd development!

It's really thriving there at the moment, the public realm work they did widening the pavements made a big difference.

Agreed. But that other one is a stinker! What is it, a detention centre for failed asylum seekers?

Used to be New Ocean City. Although don;t hold out hopes for this I think a purchaser/developer needs finding before anything actually happens on the site - this was the result of a competition organised by the council with the consent of the landowner (also the owner of the Oriental Pearl in WB).

The Derby Rd render looks great from that angle. The Highurst St one...well harder to tell, not sure yet. But that street needs something.

The frame for the new sculpture at the Theatre Royal has now been put up, no glass has been put in as of yet.

No photos unfortunately
