Looks like a little progress... the green covering has been removed from the side.

Is this building still covered in green??? It would be really nice to see some new pics... I know the opening was delayed, but the facade at least should be complete by now.

I don't know Beirut!. Last time I passed by it, (during the first week of December 2006) I suppose (not sure) it was covered in green.

Wow, simply stunning! Finally the green has been removed and we can get a look at the facade... its much nicer than I expected it to be and much better than the rendering. I notice in the rendering there are parts of the balconies colored black, will that be added or has the plan changed? I much prefer the current color scheme over the one in the rendering.

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a before pic (as in before renovation even began)? I remember what it looked like but it would be nice to compare pics.

i like this project!!! it adds such a nice touch to the skyline, try to imagine it without the hotel...hmm
i think they did change the plan abit (apart from the black balconies), in the first rendering, the balconies look all seperatly detached from one another, compared to the real thing (they look all attached to one another) right?
brilliant tho.
