Mmm yeah, that average of 25,162 so far this season is quite worryingly below the 27,828 capacity of the stadium. The stadium expansion isn't dependent on Wolves earning Champions League spots.

As can be seen at the right corner, the stands will be much more close to the pitch. Good choice.

What are these flat areas in the upper tier for?

You mean inside the actual sections? These seem to be disabled viewer platforms. I heard this stand was to enable more disabled supporters to attend in good conditions so would this be part of the infrastructure?

The biggest and most disappointing events in Wolves recent history.

Hint if you care to look.

2001/02 Division 1 League table.

First talks of Wolves coming up for sale/stadium redevelopment and West Brom biggest rivals.

26th February 2002.

Final Table

Wolves could very well have been todays Manchester City had we won promotion that season.

If wolves have a rich owner, sure they will be have a better squad and bigger stadium than mancity. Money can change anything accept history. History in english football is belong to manu and liverpool.

They've won the most championships, but your statement is simply not true. Many English clubs have famous and interesting histories, Wolves being one of them!

We would fill 36,000 even in the Championship given a good (winning) team and realistic pricing (IMHO).

Try spellcheck next time. Then make sure to find the appropriate thread.

If that's the sum total of your perception of the history of English football, then I suggest you read more. Sunderland has 6 First Division crowns, even, and Nottingham Forest has some European trophies in their cabinet, to say nothing of the pedigrees at Arsenal, Everton, Villa, etc.

Back on topic, I think the construction is coming along very well and this will no doubt be among the premier stadiums in the land. Part of me hopes they hold at the 36k mark for some time so as not to oversaturate the stands with more passive fans. Keep the character of the fanbase intact and the growth, though slower, will likely be deeper and more lasting. Good on ya, Wolves!

Could be true. But they did have a large stadium already in Maine Road and were rather wealthy before the sikh took over.

why does every english club stadium thread get turned into who has won the most in the past, a proud history is important to a club identity but it isnt the be all and all. other factors like city size, loyalty of support, how the team plays football traditionally help to. Wolves seem the me to always have a very loyal fan base, who fill out every week even in the second division. i think of they could establish themselves as a perienal premier league then they could probs fill out a 35k to 45k ground every week imo

and to stop the arguments here is the list of englands most succesfull clubs from wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...#Honours_Table
