There's still Jetstar Hong Kong and Japan to grow with to tap into the Korean market. Got to watch this space.

Thought not all their subsidiaries are based in Australia?

Correct. I think Jestar Asia wanted to expand in to Seoul, but now Scoot took up last remaining slots Koreans let Singapore airlines have. The rest is naturally owned by Singapore airline.

They still have Jetstar Hong Kong and Jetstar Japan to offer one stop services to Korea from Singapore, and two stop from Australia.

There is a talk that Singapore Airlines would resume Singapore-Surabaya in the future. If this materialized, SilkAir will stop the Singapore-Surabaya service.

Singapore Airlines have started serving Surabaya since 1991, with Airbus A310-300. When their A310 was retired, they swapped to Boeing 777-200. Since the aircraft is too big for Surabaya route, Singapore Airlines stopped serving Surabaya in 2004.
But now, they have something smaller than Boeing 777-200: Airbus A330-300.

SIA adds more flights to Indonesian cities
By
Nisha Ramchandani

Singapore Airlines (SIA) is beefing up services to Indonesia from July by adding daily flights to Surabaya as well as boosting frequencies to popular destinations Jakarta and Bali.

"The Indonesian economy is growing and this has increased demand for both business and leisure travel," said Lee Wen Fen, SIA's acting senior vice-president (marketing planning).

From 26 July, SIA will take over one of two daily Surabaya flights - presently operated by subsidiary SilkAir - and will operated 285-seat Airbus A330s on the route. This is expected to raise the total SIA and SilkAir capacity on the route by some 48 per cent.

In addition, SIA will also add a ninth daily service to the capital city of Jakarta and a fourth daily service to Bali.

Yap. I have a booking on MI SUB-SIN in July.
Few days ago I received an SMS, saying that my flight has been rescheduled from 10am to 10.30am. Turns out not only the schedule, but the airlines is changed as well.

But do you have to pay additional fee for that?
