Langley Park isn't as underused as some people think, it often has lunchtime, after work and weekend football going on and weekend kids tee-ball. Lot's of group fitness sessions. Still underused but if they ever decide to redevelop it i'd still like some of it left as large open space for things like sport and fairs etc.

Write a submission to the government, stake the case for the amenity of a park and get the mildly insane road engineer fantasy taken off the table

The park is big enough to preserve some decently sized areas of open space for those activities. I imagine anything on terrace road would go up in value too.

^ Agree. Would love to see some more formal ovals, soccer pitches etc (large open areas that could also be used for special events but that can be used for public sports use). Some shaded / landscaped areas. Some water features. "Natural" amphitheatres & some changes in elevation even if only small to break up the huge expanse. No need for us to still have an area you can land a plane in the city centre (and city planning should not be dictated by the prospect of having a rich fizzy drinks manufacturer possibly run their aerobatics carnival here again at some point in the future).

Anyway - nothing will happen with Lisa "Stalin" Saffidi still in the throne.

Langley has a huge amount of potential for landscaping while still maintaining space for sport and large events. That it endures as a kilometre-long patch of grass says something about the Perth psyche.

The big gold necklace lets you know that she is the king of Perth and possibly the world.

The people moving into the area are a bit old for organised sports.

Lit up like a Christmas tree last night. All the lights were on. Looked fantastic.
