Construction Begins on Heritage-Integrated Office Tower in Melbourne
Quote:
A skyscraping development that integrates three heritage-listed buildings at its base has broken ground in Melbourne. The 40-storey office tower will rise above the historic 1880s facades of the Olderfleet Buildings at 477 Collins Street, embracing a vertical village concept that splits the volume into three separate modules, capturing the internal organization of the development.

Glenn Wilson, Thanks for sharing all the awesome photos of every constructionsite, you have gone out your way to get, and for keeping us skyscraper fans up-dated on as always.

Please keep up the awesome photography work you are so good at doing just like Redden is.

Great updates as always Glenn and Redden - Great to see the core is being dug out now. Has to be one of the deepest digs in the CBD surely?

3 in 1, _mark, 447,466 and 477. Good work! I noticed that you got the street numbers wrong, which is unusual, then I remembered the pinot. Then I gave thanks that it was in focus!

From up there it gives a perspective of those buildings on William St and the noise they are in for over the next 3 years

Are you trying to suggest that a 30-40t excavator with a hammer attachment trying to break reinforced concrete is noisy?

Could be wrong but that could be the base plate for another crane in the core.
