They are working on it, starting at Metro Trans Studio Bandung as per info I've got.

Knp ngga dimulai dr METRO PS dulu pdhl udah paling outdated, di luxury mall lg

Trus buat yg di TA, METRO bs nempatin space MATAHARI klo mereka msh mau tetap ada di TA, kan dulu ktnya bbrp lantai METRO bakal dibikin jalan access ke extension mall

waktu itu dis pengennya ISETAN apa TAKASHIMAYA utk gantiin MATAHARI, tp ngelihat kondisi akhir2 ini jd tambah pessimistic ada dept store baru yg mau buka di indo dlm waktu dekat

Klo METRO jg ngga mau pindah ke space MATAHARI, paling dibuat model SC aja, fashion stores spt F21 sama MANGO pindah ke space MATAHARI jd flagship stores

mending ex-matahari dibikin jadi atrium baru, space matahari kan luas banget tuh. dibikin f&b semua macam street gallery pim buka sampai jam 12. apalagi karakter warga barat kan suka wisata kuliner . tapi sayang aja sih matahari out. matahari paling pewe tuh jomplang dgn matahari citraland tetangga sebelahnya

Gak tau persis kenapanya, tapi sepertinya obviously prioritasnya set untuk support upaya rejuvenate tampilan mall milik group sendiri. Juga sekaligus untuk set diferensiasi kelas dengan Transmart Carrefour yang menghuni mall yang sama. Point terakhir ini jadi penting dalam rangka persiapan mereka untuk mall-mall "Trans Park" and above (yang di BSD nanti belum tahu akan disebut apa kompleksnya) yang hampir pasti kedua retailers ini akan participate.

Gak selalu begitu. Bisa juga ini adalah cara utk naikin sales "membuang" aged stocks-nya ke toko baru dengan tidak mengorbankan gross margin (yang kalau di toko2 di 1st tier cities cara buangnya adalah dengan high discount). A bit risky ke operating margin (karena additional opex dari operation of new stores), tapi secara bersamaan mereka closing down beberapa store, sehingga risk ini ketutup.

Target is not berdarah2 in the US. They are revamping their stores with the new design and newcomer items (k-beauty, in store coffee shop, in house furnitures and homeware, online pick up service, etc etc).

I never been to australian target. But the american ones arent that bad.

Target masih mendingan sih tapi ini lebih ke hypermarket sih
Di US Target itu lebih mirip ke Carrefour atau Hypermart
Clothing brand yg middle-up juga ada kok disini

Kalo bikin F&B susah sih karena tokonya dah nangkring di CP ama Neo Soho
Kalo beneran dibikin lebih baik bangunnya di satu dua lantai trus sisanya dibikin buat tempat nangkring toko clothing buat upper class ama street fashion

Dude. We're talking Target di Australia, not in the USA.

F&B bisa lah... Mereka bisa rekrut yg belum ada di dalam CP/NeoSoho, seperti misalnya, Toby Estate, The Goods Cafe/Eateria/The Goods Diner, Filosofi Kopi, Wingstop, Caribou Coffee, SaladStop...

Sekedar mengalihkan topik, di L3 ada tempat kosong yang wasted abis. Terutama di deket Sky Rink. Dulunya itu Samudra suki, dan ada satu space dekat EF yg dlunya Imperial Chef, yg akhirnya pindah ke L1 dan menjadi The Duck King.

Saranku sih, yg di deket Sky Rink yg dulunya Samudra Suki itu bisa jadi Exhibition Hall, sementara yg dulunya Imperial Chef, itu bisa jadi co-working space.

Ide yg brilian bukan? Tapi koq manajemen ga ada kepikiran ya?

(Barusan baca di koran Kontan hari ini [gue ga langganan epaper, tapi yang versi fisiknya], bahwa katanya Matahari MTA tutup lantaran ada perubahan tata letak dari pihak pengelola mal. Sebuah pertanyaan besar ini...)

Hampir pasti as in not all Trans Park participate kan? (Metro Dept Store enggak masuk Trans Park Bekasi. Hanya Transmart aja yg masuk...)
