I'll try and get around wandsworth proper this weekend, i've also been meaning to head up nine elms way and look at riverside, plus get "before" shots for any parts of it still untouched... didn't know about the east hill hotel or peabody rebuild so I'll get them too, cheers!

is anything actually happening at the ram brewery yet?

last I was there a couple of weeks ago I took this

just to test the lens really, doesn't look like any activity though?

PS. given that most of the projects in this thread are prep/demo/U/C, shouldn't this be in the construction forum? or should we start new ones? or are they all too short?

Hi Steve

Ram brewery hasn't started yet. It is waiting for planning, with a start date for construction in August. A number of backward looking nimbis sent letters in during planning though, so we'll see.

Yes, sainsburys etc. should be in the construction thread. This is a more general wandsworth thread though.

Two-storey extension to existing Georgian building

London-based Type3 Studio has won planning for the renovation of music producer Eagle Rock Entertainment’s headquarters in south London.

Eagle Rock works with The Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd and U2.

Sited in the heart of Wandsworth’s Historic Industrial Hub, the three-storey Georgian building will feature a two-storey extension clad in metal mesh.

The two buildings will be linked by a double height atrium, with a cafe and event space, and display of album artwork.

A rather large old peoples home, called Battersea Place, is scheduled to be built too...
Quote:
Battersea Place will be London’s first luxury retirement village, located in the heart of the capital city with stunning views over Battersea Park. The development will provide the ultimate in central London retirement living for people seeking an independent lifestyle and include a range of contemporary one, two and three bedroom independent living apartments.

London’s first luxury retirement development offers a unique lifestyle. Live in your own spacious home, within a vibrant community, where you will be supported by an extensive range of luxury facilities and care services, available whenever you need them.

We are developing an exclusive retirement community in an exceptional location near central London, yet in a quiet community close to Battersea Park, the River Thames and local amenities. Your independence and peace of mind are assured with a concierge service and a range of care and support services to match your needs.

Your neighbourhood

On Albert Bridge Road, opposite Battersea Place, Battersea Park offers beautiful views and more than 200 acres to enjoy. Just a few hundred yards up the road is one of London’s most notable landmarks – Albert Bridge, spanning the River Thames. All the attractions of Kensington and Chelsea are a short bus or taxi ride away. Just around the corner is a gastro pub and Ransome’s Dock, which offers restaurants and food stores, overlooking an old Thames wharf.

Everything at Battersea Place has been designed to help you live life your way. Enjoy entirely independent living in your own private home, with the security and peace of mind that come with on-site care and a 24-hour emergency call system. Relax and retire in style.

Our one and two bedroom apartments and two and three bedroom penthouses are planned with your needs in mind, so you will feel at home right from the start. Relax, knowing that we take care of all exterior servicing and maintenance.

The reception rooms are spacious, light and airy, apartments are fitted with the latest appliances, designer kitchens and luxurious bathrooms and every apartment will have a balcony or patio and many will have views over Battersea Park.

Apartments are priced from £430,000 - £2.5m.
Internal courtyard:

It's gonna be kinda posh inside:

External renders:

I hope I'm rich when I retire....

Didn't make it out on the weekend after all, on account of the weather being cack

Nice today though so I popped to Southside after work.

Nothing to do with skyscrapers but hey, it's an impressive building that doesn't get any attention, so anyway

Then over to Sainsburys... not much happening there, just an orange crane, very on-brand

And the Brewery... I'm going to have to go back to the plans and renders and remind myself exactly how much of this is staying, hopefully most of it, I'm quite fond of it...

@Steve, here is an 'under construction' place for your The Filaments pic: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...1411620&page=2

The development was previously known as 'cockpen house'

A bigger hole in Putney Exchange now

On the horizon of that last one you can just see (L-R) the imminently-demolished building at Putney Plaza, the nearly finished Langham Sq, the likely-soon-demolished Carlton House, a couple of buildings that are staying and the imminently-demolished 113 URR. I think I'll pull together a new thread for all those lot in the construction forum.
