Congress will likely prioritize and expedite the passage of the pending bill that seeks to create the proposed Department of Disaster Resilience (DDR), and President Duterte may likely highlight the importance of such agency in his next State of the Nation Address. The DDR will be a well-structured agency designed to manage a broad climate-disaster program of governance, as the country confronts more and more calamities of greater frequency and magnitude.

Rep. Joey S. Salceda of the Second District of Albay, a noted economist and disaster-resilience advocate who authored the principal DDR bill (House Bill [HB] 6075), noted that, “Now, more than ever, we feel the need to create a supergovernment agency, seeing the devastations around us every time disasters strike.” He said the new agency will be “tasked to carry out a continuous, consistent and fortified calamity-defense program and ensure the country’s sustainable development and inclusive growth.”

Like what PRC is doing, you can avail of the online transactions. You don't have to visit an office, you just have to transact on-line!

PRC? in your region.. but here in region 6? you will test your patience here. I've been in Iloilo last Jan. 11 to authenticate my license. Pero ang nangyari? inabot ng dalawang araw ang pila namin doon at sa Feb. 20 pa irerelease ang documents namin. Kawawa kaming taga-Aklan because we travel 4-5 hours just to reach Iloilo City.
