Building Energy Efficiency

Does anyone know the building operator/owner concern abouth their energy cost expense?

I hope Cambodia will take care soon for this, as operation cost is high could affect to the owner profit.

have you got anything else to say besides selling your energy efficient idea?

I agree Cambodia need to seriously look at its energy productions and use and becomes as self sufficient as possible, but there is no need to raise that in every post.

Vattanac Capital Tower in Phnom Penh may adapt the strategy of energy saving and applies the concept of ''Green Building'', just a thought based on my own because the tower is designed by world reowned architects

It will take lots of good engineer to make the building green.

Cambodia is very sunny, makes perfect sense to adopt solar power, every family that got a roof should have one, even the smallest solar panel can power a small fridge.

If every house/building has solar panel, it will take a lot of demand off the grid. Capture the heat on the panel instead of the tiles might mean it take a deg or 2 off the house. I am not photovoltic engineer, so could be wrong, but I think is win win.

There is no such thing as "green building standard" in Cambodia, and even developed countries has a mix of standards.

All of these requires a decent expertise in maintanence, do Cambodia have these expert? Is developers willing to put in the extras (westerner, developed country price) when installing its HVAC systems, Lift, etc, knowing you will not be able to collect rents like you get in the west?
