Cricket: SA tour to Oz

Ok, so we in the land down under fighting the 1 team in the world we love too!

Made good progress on day one taking 9 wickets, but having them on the back leg at 15/3 one would have felt we should have been more ruthless then allowing them to hit back at us the way they did. But hey, its Asstralia, they do things like pulling sheeps out of their asses. Its just how they play, which is fantastic. Even today, with 2 tail enders starting off at 341/9 they managed to scramble 34 runs.

Now here comes fatboy and Mckenzie to the crease, Mckenzie unlucky to get out on 2, but fatboy and Amla did well to make a 90 run partnership to steady the boat, unfortunalty both smelt the KFC Mckenzie was eating in the change room, so they both wanted their share, so currenly at the crease is Kallis & AB, bit of a bag of mixed nuts those 2. You never know when they going to perform. Kallies seems to be going well on 21 n.o with AB on 8.

Lets hope these 2 can make a solid 100 or so partnership, and get us on the go. I personally think, if we had a chance to beat Aus on their home soil, now is the best chance we got.

They're falling apart now Durbs, Johnson has been brilliant. 7/42 for him so far. 8/243 @ stumps.

Why is it that Australia is the only country in the world that calls their wickets first? Never did get that...

Cricket: SA tour to Oz

281 all out

golden opportunity to get a good first innings total and what happens? we fall like bottle on a wall! Credit to Johnson though, not the most spectacular bowling the world, but he managed to do the job.

Superb batting, nothing short of it. Smith was good, AB and Kallis did well, Duminy as well. One up in the series lets not get ahead of our selves now and take each day as it comes.

I was at the game.
It was beautiful to watch the crowd start to filter out, and with a fair bit of the game to go.
So solid. We had on glitch in the game when we lost those 5 wickets in a bunch - but thats what it was - a glitch.
414!
Against the aussies in Perth with a mongrel crowd hurling obsenities at us - brilliant.

Aah, chistmas over here suddenly looks like it might be enjoyable. And I think the team is mature enough to buckle down now, and focus on the series.

"And I think the team is mature enough to buckle down now, and focus on the series."

In Oz , you'll always get the crowd giving the players a few selected words, not that our guys here are the friendliest bunch, but nothing serious

Onto the MCG now, prob the best cricket venue in the world in terms of infrastructure.
