Rochester Forumers Meet-up 2006

Hey guys, wondering if any of the Rochester forumers are interested in meeting up this year. Sometime this Spring (April perhaps?)?

We could tour around downtown, possibly PaeTec Park, Corn Hill Landing, etc...

Plus a little dinasour or tahou's feast?

Who's interested? If so we can set up a date and other things.

I'll have to see, that would be cool! I'd definitely like to come. Been to Rochester four times in my life, most recently last October seeing the Sabres @ Blue Cross Arena! I liked Panzari's and Jimmy Mac's!

Hey Jaybird, did you move? I could have sworn before that it said you were from Stratford Ontario?

Nah, I didn't move, I actually live in a small town near Stratford, called Mitchell, nobody's ever heard of it, lol. I had Stratford on my location, because I didn't really want to give away where I lived since I was "notorious" for some time a year or two ago on these forums, but now that I have turned my life around, I put my REAL location. Mitchell has about 4,400 people and is growing, believe it or not, pretty good for a small town, located just 12 miles west of Stratford or 19 km for metric measuring people, lol.

no matter where you live Jaybird, you're still the number one canadian western new yorker.
"notorious" so you're the guy with the goods?

Amen. We should make him an honorary Western New Yorker, even if he never decides to live there. He could be sworn in at the Rochester meet-up.

what? we don't get to beat him in?
i thought we'd give a good old drunken blue collar american city ass kicking and then he'd officially be a western new yorker.

ok maybe he can just shovel some driveways.

^ lol, yeah I remember that. What was I thinking? I also picked up my own garbage after I dropped the lid to a Gatorade container, lol, as mentioned many times. I was "notorious", btw, because of my bashing of Toronto. I don't do it anymore, even I still don't really like Toronto that much. Since I stopped doing it, it has really changed myself for the better.

Not only that, but last weekend on the 12th when me and my friend went to a Sabres game (and it doesn't have anything to do with this), we went to the Swannie House to get some wings and they took a while, because they were understaffed, and the game was about to start by the time our wings were ready, the girl who was there said we were so nice to wait patiently and such and we could understand, we told them we came down from Canada, and she and the other waitress were pleasantly surprised to hear we were Sabres fans and would rather cheer for them than for the Leafs, they thought we were from Toronto, but no, we told them from the London area, and we're much friendlier, lol!

After all this, I think Western New York and a lot of its people do appreciate my patronage and interest in this amazingly nice area, particularly Buffalo! Also, Rochester, in some cases.

How about the weekend of April 15th, it's a Saturday. That seems to be a good day. We can meet up somewhere, maybe walk around some, see the sights, eat some food...i'm flexible.
