The "Great Camps" were built in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York as vacation houses for the rich in the 19th century. They were designed by WW Durant, most are now on the National Historic Register.

I made a few pictures during past weekend in Brooklyn, NY in the area called Bay Ridge. Quite an amazing place we have there. It is an area where there are few communities live together such as: Italians, Greeks, Arabs and Norwegians.
There are some of the most beautiful houses in the whole Brooklyn there. here are some of them.

This house below in so-called German revival style belongs to the founder of the huge insurance company Blue Cross & Blue Shield in USA

And this one is being built by some nouvo-rich. By the looks of it - it is about 7-8 million$. Solid Stone walls, Slate roof, Marble porch, dead end quite street and etc.

And this is the house in heavily Russian neighborhood of Brooklyn with the view on the canal. I'd say - this one is about 15 million $.

Trust me - once you have a family you will start thinking about it - house makes life easier in so many respects I am too lazy to start a long list. Plus, once you get a bit older - you require a little more quite time away from all the crazy noise and stuff of the city. I live 10 miles from NYC so if I feel bored for example I will get there in 10 minutes. but to live there constantly - too many reasons not to.
