Finally Prishtina bypass can also be considered complete.

Congrats to all of you, indeed beautiful high-way.
Is there any information about progress on sections Babush - Kacanik, and Kacanik - Macedonian border? When the finishing of this sections are expected?

It was announced today that based on work plans they expect to open the second section up to Gabrrice/Doganaj (Kacanik) until the end of next year. And the last section to the border the year after (Fall/Winter 2018).

a few more questions :
How many connections will the R6 have and which (highway cross Pristina, Lipjan, Babush, ...)
Is the length of the R6 55km or 60km?
The Prishtina-Nis section is to be built in 2017. Does it count for the Kosovar, the Serbian or for both sides?
Are, in principle, expressways in Kosovo planned along the motorways, as well as motorway-like streets? As far as I know it is only the routes Prishtina-Podujeva, Prishtina-Mitrovica, Prishtina-Peja and Klinė (e Epėrme) -Skenderaj

6:

1. R6/R7 interchange
2. Konjuh (Lipjan)
3. Babush i Muhaxhereve (Lipjan)
4. Bibaj (Ferizaj)
5. Gabrrice/Doganaj (Kacanik)
6. Hani i Elezit

60 km.

As I said earlier, it depends on the EU and the Berlin Process. This is a Berlin Process project and will be partly funded by IPA II funds, so Kosovo and Serbia will have to cooperate and both implement it in order to receive those funds. Serbia has tried to sideline Kosovo on this project until now, trying to project it as a project between Albania and Serbia. I guess we'll have to wait for the next meeting this summer in Rome, to see where does this project stand. I don't expect construction to start in 2017 though.

I don't think I fully understand what you're trying to say here, but expressways are not planned along motorways. Like I've said Prishtina - Podujeva route is not going to be an expressway. And also, I know I have included in a previous map the Kline e Eperme - Skenderaj as an expressway (which will, by the way, be widened to 4 lanes up to Komoran), but after I've seen it I don't think it will be brought to expressway standards and so I've removed it in the latest revisions.

Will it give a eastern bypass of Pristina? So to speak a "highway circle" around Pristina

Sure, but we'll have to wait for a political party to assume power both at central and municipal government. We've not seen any major infrastructure works in the capital until now because of this. Here's a map of a projected ring road from the Ministry of Infrastructure:

At least there are no known plans for it currently.

But in my option that won't make much sense: When you look at the map, you will see that only one road leaves Prishtina in the east and this one is not really important and has low traffic.

East of Prishtina there are some mountains which makes building roads (motorway and access roads) a bit expensive. Also the city grows to the west, to Fushe Kosovo, so I doubt you will see some kind of expressway or motorway east of Prishtina.

From the local forum about highways in Kosovo.
Picture taken between Prishtina and Peja, on a road that are considered as an expressway.

You should disregard the OSM label. Whoever made that change is probably mislead. R7.1 is supposed to be the new motorway Banulle - Dheu i Bardhe (Konqul) which may get started as early as this year.

That 3 km link which was opened in 2015 is actually just a stub, an access road to R6 and R7 and a south exit to Prishtina. It may have been referred to as R6 when opened but I'm not sure it is/will/should be part of. The entrance from N2 is labeled R6/R7. Also there used to be a motorway start sign in the beginning, in the direction towards R6/R7 interchange, but I wasn't paying attention last time I was there to see if it still stands. But in the opposite direction, on the exit from R6 (Prishtina south), a motorway end sign stood immediately after the entry. The speed limit is also 80 km/h.

Why do bechtel enka cause them selfes problems like this? Why not just build 4-5 tunnels? That would be easier and safer for the workers!

I've got the exact course up to south of Kaēanik and a good estimate of the rest (from official sources). I'll post it tomorrow if I'll get some time.
