Hi Genzyme.
Great news.
Designs look good.
FYI - the BK money schedule was 3.8 billion during construction and surely will end up over 4. The 1.5 figure is bogus.

Wuhan Greenland Centre
Wuhan, China
competition

Working with AS+GG designers, HP developed a scheme for the 600m+ super-tall Wuhan Greenland Centre. The concept for the design is to maximize the efficiency of the building by adjusting form and structural system layout, taking into account the latest in wind engineering technologies. As a result, the building’s form incorporates the following features into the design:

1. A triangle floor plate with corner mega-columns maximizes building stiffness for a given floor area taking into account maximum wind sail loading.

2. The building tapers to maximize stiffness at the base and to minimize wind sail higher up in the building, where wind loads are higher.

3. Corners of the building are rounded which reduces drag.

4. Vented corner screen walls allow the building to be tuned to disorganize wind vortices. The screen wall also distinctively expresses this aspect of the wind engineering design.

5. The top of the tower is rounded to make it more aerodynamic.

Working together, these features of the architecture play a dramatic role in reducing the forces and accelerations seen by the building, which in turn reduce the amount of structure required and the cost of the building.

We can count more than 130 floors.

That's an awesome design. Has a very nice vertical city feel.

If you pay attention to the models displayed at the design contest you may notice that all the renders we are seeing are two different proposals, not the same one, that's why I'm not sure about which one they chose.

This one?

Or this one?

Both of those designs look incredibly similar, but I think both of them are good. I hope this thing goes along as it is. China is incredible 606 meters.

In a few years, China will have 10 600+ meter'ers

by that time there will be talk of 800-900m towers, here's hoping for both India/China and other rising nations.

The first one is the best! Not sure I like it resting on the base in the second one.

They posted a new render. Well, we have seen a pic of the render, but now we have the render itself.

By the way, for several weeks there were rumors about a second supertall within Greenland's masterplan. Take a look at this adv.

Looking at this link it appears to be the last rendering that is the final one.
