as your overview shows, there are many projects proposed that might become a reality or disappear forever as a vision. let us hope a new chinese tallest can move towards preparations in 2017

That STARK Hong Kong rendering above... looks like a prop for an IronMan movie?

are there any more complete sources for chinese cities concerning highrises in the 150m-200m range. Chinese language is fine, too. It is just that I would love to compare cities with more than just 200m+ databases. SSCenter and SSPage are a pretty good source for anything above 200m, but for anything below that there is no data at all for many cities.

interesting question but I doubt that an accurate database of its type could be compiled for Chinese cities without the invlovement of the local urban authorities.

Anyone know what the tall tower is to the left of youth cultural center in this pic? Looks like it could be at least 600m.

21(archicetural height)+1(to tip) on SSP. Some may be considered prep here and not there or vice versa, it's a fine line sometimes.

i try to keep the list of buildings 300m+ accurate for proposed / U/C / Complete.
i try to keep the list of buildings 200m+ accurate for U/C / Complete.

under 200m i try to find complete worldwide sources, but i am out of luck. There is no data that is accurate for the whole world sadly. So under 200m I have no information. Probably most websites are seriously outdated and wrong sadly.

Many thanks. According to some youtube video, HK has over 3200 buildings over 90m. Would it be true? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRE46UEY46k

yeah that youtube video does not even say it's source in the description, but simply by looking at the numbers the data is severely incomplete. the number for Shanghai for example is probably twice as high as what the video claims. and probably most cities have the same problem.

So 21 buildings that would include all buildings completed, U/C and Prep?

That number exc;ludes proposed buildings or conceptual projects etc?

If so that is good number, how many super talls could we expect to be T/O by the end of 2017 at their current rate of progress?

No, just completed and U/C. Prep is together with proposed on SSP. Just sometimes the status is changed a bit earlier or later than SSC.

Amazing update as always, ed500!

I have a few questions concerning Wuhan though. What is the Asia Standard Center and the SUNAC Center? Do we have threads for those? And also, what about Hua's International Plaza, I thought it was proposed with 707m.

Same proposal as the more commonly known "Fanhai Center", the empty plot just to the east of Wuhan Center

Hi KillerZavatar, i found SUNAC Center on Gaoloumi and have posted a thread now as there wasn't one already. Also Hua's International Plaza is now 501m as posted by z0rg in post #29 and Ch.W in post #42 in the buildings thread: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...1651289&page=2
