OVB Novosibirsk-Tolmachevo Airport

Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport (Russian: Аэропσрт Толмачёво) (IATA: OVB, ICAO: UNNT) is situated in the town of Ob, 16 km from center of Novosibirsk, an industrial and scientific center in Siberia and Russia's third largest city.

There are two (3,600 m (11,811 ft) and 3,605 m) active runways in Tolmachevo Airport, along with 2 passenger terminals for domestic flights (Terminal A - 25,000 sq.m., 18 check-in desks, 2 jet bridges, capacity 1,800 PAX/hour[4]) and international flights (Terminal B - 11,000 sq.m.), 2 cargo terminals and 61 aircraft stands. Runway 16 is equipped with an ILS CAT II, which enables aircraft operations in low ceiling (30 meters) and visibility (350 meters).[5]

The airport is situated in the middle of the route from some important East-Asian cities (e.g. Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, etc.) to Europe which makes it attractive for cargo airlines to use it for refueling stops. It serves also as a diversion airport on Polar route 1.[6][7]

Tolmachevo is the busiest airport in Siberia and the sixth busiest airport in Russia.[8][9] In 2013 the airport served 3,748,211 passengers (+14.7%) and handled 29,947 tons of cargo (+6.9%).[1] Detailed data for years 2003-2013 is in the Traffic Statistics section below.

VVO | Vladivostok International Airport

Vladivostok International Airport (Russian: Международный аэропорт «Владивосток» Mezhdunarodnyi aeroport Vladivostok) (IATA: VVO, ICAO: UHWW) is located near Artyom, Primorsky Krai, Russia roughly an hour's drive (44 kilometers) north of the center of the city of Vladivostok. It was formerly known as Knevichi Airport, named after village Knevichi. It consists of two passenger terminals: the old Domestic Terminal B and the new International Terminal A.

The airport has two airfields, Lake Springs and Knevichi.

Lake Springs Airfield
The Lake Springs airfield was designed for aircraft operating on regional routes. It has two hard surface runways 21 meters wide, each. One is 1000 meters in length and the second is 600 meters. Currently, it is not used for regularly scheduled flights, and local aviation operates from there, instead.

Knevichi
The Knevichi airfield was designed for all types of aircraft and has two hard surface runways. Each runway is 3,500 meters in length and 60 meters in width.[1]

The domestic Terminal B of the airport underwent complete renovation during 2005-2006, which made it one of the most comfortable and up-to-date airport terminals in Russia. The renovated terminal was re-opened on December 19, 2006.

Federal and regional government announced plans to rebuild Vladivostok International Airport prior to the APEC Russia 2012 Summit on Russky Island, south of Vladivostok. A new terminal (terminal A) was built in 2012, at a cost of 7 billion RUB. The capacity of this new terminal building is 3.5 million passengers/year.[2] Runway 07R/25L was also reconstructed and lengthened, to 3,500 meters. This new runway is capable of accommodating all aircraft types without any restrictions

KHV | Khabarovsk Novy Airport

Khabarovsk Novy Airport (Russian: Аэропорт Хабаровск) (IATA: KHV, ICAO: UHHH) is located at the eastern part of Khabarovsk, Khabarovsk Krai, Russia. Khabarovsk Novy Airport was the main hub for the Russian airline Dalavia, which was shut down by the government due to large debts. Vladivostok Air, a carrier based in Vladivostok, replaced the role of Dalavia, and Khabarovsk has now been "upgraded" into a secondary hub for Vladivostok Air and they currently serve 13 domestic destinations and 5 international destinations.

Stop posting wikipedia content. We know how to use wikipedia.
If you tried to find current information, you knew that the content initiating this thread is outdated.

Vladivostok Air/Avia does not exist anymore. It merged with SAT forming a new carrier "Aurora".

This 1983-made 732 is among the oldest planes working on regular passenger routes in the country.

Vladivostok Air TU-204-300 (reg. RA-64039)

And by the way, I'm looking at consolidating this thread with smaller airports in eastern Russia (if not the entire country) so that discussions can be more efficient. This could include Pulkovo (LED) from Saint Petersburg and Omsk (OMS), among others.

Indeed, VVO is among Russia's most interesting airports from the spotter's point of view. Both Soviet/Russian and Western airliners, constant Air Koryo presence, regional & military (including naval) aviation - all in one.
