And this madrid la peneita stadium has slow works i find.
If you compare to some other projects in Europe you would have already lot of cranes and workers...

I'm sure a situation a la valencia is coming

Because Spain is the most corrupt country in Europe. This triple Olympic bid (2012, 2016, 2020) has been proven to be another way for the corrupt right wing government of Madrid to steal more and more millions of public funds.

I really hope this stadium and all the stupidity of the Olympics ends up like the New Mestalla. Insha'allah.

Why would you want that? Can't us football fans have nice things like a new stadium?

Actually Spain is one of the pioneering countries in terms of solar power and actually exports it to Germany. But solar is not yet economically viable in most places because of a lack of storage.

That is a very smart constructive stadium. I have been looking for these types of sports stadium pictures from very long time. Thank you.

Why would a true football fan want a big club like Atlético de Madrid leaving such a historical stadium like Vicente Calderón? Specially when the change means going to a stadium where only 10k seats are going to have a real football view and the other 65k are going to be at an athletics track distance from the pitch. Ask any Atletico fan if they want to move.

The words that describe this stadium are corruption and speculation.

Any reason why the second row of vomitories in the old stand are so much longer than the ones below them?

I was being sarcastic. But that is besides the point. The only problem that I see with expanding Vicente Calderon is that it would be impossible to build new luxury boxes that would attract businesses to further invest in the club. It suck but it's the truth. Not only that, there is the question of space which Vicente Calderon lacks. Not saying that they couldn't buy up the property around it, but that involves bureaucracy and lets be honest about the fact that politicians don't give a damn about sports. Plus, Vicente Calderon is already too close to a main road, so where would they expand? When you break it down, the only option Atletico Madrid has is to get a new stadium.

The reason why the Calderón cannot be expanded is that it sits just above of one of the main roads of Madrid, the M30. Not too close. Above.

After the frooozen match yesterday at old Calderon I hope this one will be done someday, even in 2020 with this pace of construction.
