Arca South like Circuit city will not be as successful as bgc bcoz accessibility is the main problem. Saka medyo kakatakot sa arca south coz there is a large muslim community behind this project. And from experience medyo nakakatakot. I used to go there for some business reasons before. Once i went there with another guy and as we get off our vehicle, 3 guys with one holding an m16, pointed the gun at us. Though theyre not serious in shooting at us, they just pointed the gun and laugh. I thought we were in maguindanao and not in taguig. Medyo uneasy ang feeling namin whenever we go there, parang gustong gusto namin umalis agad.

Anyways hope ayala can build a road connecting bgc and arca south directly without going through bayani road or the east service road. Ganun din sa circuit city, sana may direct road from makati cbd to circuit city coz the road going there is traffic choked and flooded during rainy season

Geeezzz Ayala. Why do you want to fit only four cinemas in the first phase of Arca South Mall?

Maybe because magkaka-cinema din yung Transport Mall saka Lifestyle Mall?

The C5 route is an alternative access to Arca South if you are coming from BGC. Via Skyway, the government will construct Skyway Ramps that will provide direct access to Arca South for those coming from the north and south of the city.

It is a wise decision that you moved your business from that community after your "gunpoint experience". If you will expand your business or if you will set up a new business, I suggest you consider Arca South. The community here will be totally different. I'm pretty sure that the probability of having a repeat gunpoint experience will be low.

Residential communities are gated, there will be no properties that will be constructed on perimeter boundary lines, we are talking about 24/7 CCTVs, key cards here.

Is this related to the transport strike that happened there last week?

Just to add something here. SMC plans to construct the Skyway ramps going to C5 starting this year and they are targeting to finish it by next year. Once the lifestyle mall is up and running, accessibility to Arca South won't be a problem anymore because it will be very accessible from Quezon City, Makati, NAIA, Alabang and BGC through the Skyway spur road going to C5. There will be different on and off ramps to/from the ITS South. There will be an on and ramp to Arca South from the main Skyway and another on and off ramp to Arca South from C5. And additional info, that Skyway spur road is actually the start of the Skyway Stage 4. With the completion of the Skyway Stage 3 in 2016-2017, travel time between Quezon Avenue and Arca South will be only 20-30 mins.

Are you pertaining to the Lifestyle Mall (Greenbelt type of mall)? Common sense, it's just 103,000 square meters of GFA. And don't you worry, there will be a super regional mall (Glorietta and Trinoma type of mall) with a bigger GFA that will fit a huge number of cinemas FYI.

Of course itetest muna nila kung papatok yung 4 cinemas na yun. Pano kung naglakas-loob silang maglagay ng 8 cinemas, tapos wala naman palang manonood, edi lugi lang sila.

And most lifestyle(high end) malls with the exception of Power Plant Mall in Rockwell only have an average of 4-5 cinemas. Greenbelt, Shangri-la, Resorts World, Century City Mall, SM Aura, Boni High Street etc. all have 4-5 cinemas. So why the fuss about the number of cinemas of Arca South Lifestyle Mall @tambay?

Yup, mainly because these lifestyle malls have smaller floor area, so limited din yung number ng cinemas na pwedeng ilagay. Also, ika nga, "quality over quantity", aanhin mo ang 8-12 cinemas kung mala-SM Cinemas lang? E di fewer cinemas pero premium experience na lang.

And when the time comes na madami nang tao sa Arca South, tataas din ang demand dyan for more entertainment facilities, so for sure magdadagdag sila ng additional cinemas sa future Arca malls.

DOTC defers anew bid proposals for P4-B transpo hub in Taguig

By Lawrence Agcaoili (The Philippine Star) | Updated April 19, 2015 - 12:00am

Quote:
MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) has deferred anew the bid submission deadline for the proposed P4-billion transportation hub in Taguig City by at least a month to give prequalified bidders more time.

DOTC undersecretary Jose Perpetuo Lotilla issued General Bid Bulletin 15 – 2015 informing the prequalified bidders on the changes in the May 18 deadline for the Integrated Transport System (ITS) South Terminal project.

This is confirmed to us by our bosses. The problem SMC is currently facing: PNoy's availability for its groundbreaking.
