I'm sad really. He was spoiling us with pictures of great talent, pushing the barriers of vertigo while magnifying artificial landscapes.

THANK YOU

As a regular browser of the London threads I was always amazed at the photos he took - I have one as my desktop background at the moment. I'm truly shocked.

My gosh, what a shock. I'm more of a reader than contributor, but his shots were one of the reasons that made this site worth visiting. They were head and shoulders (literally) above anything else I've seen. R.I.P

RIP Downfallen.

I must say my first thought was that he had died on a construction site. I am glad this was not so as it may have left this great person with a bad reputation, particularly in the press.

I can only echo what others have said. He lived life to the full and that is an inspiration to all of us.

On another note at wirednewyork forum we lost a very popular member a few years ago and it still amazes me how even on the internet, which many claim is faceless, that a community can come together and feel they knew someone. Even though they never met.

Probably the best photographer I have seen on this website, but that is a tiny fraction of the loss his loved ones will be feeling.

Heaven better have some pretty high clouds to jump off!

Fantastic!!

I remember when DF first showed up and was winning UK UPC and UK UPC, it was almost pointless any one else entering.

"I choose to live my life to a different tune of music, one which is not censored or wrapped up so much with a blanket of over regulation, Health and Safety gone mad (because these days it has), fear and blind compliance to anything you are told to do.. a blanket so thick, that you no longer can hear the music. If I'm injured, you'll hear me blaming only one person.. myself. It's acceptance of personal responsibility for my actions.. a quality that's very much lacking in society these days."

Shit! I dunno what to say.. Like many on here I never met the guy, never spoke to him, never messaged him - but I've had his photographs as my desktop probably as do thousands of others.. I can't begin to comprehend what impact his loss will have on these forums - God Bless Downfallen, I only hope for your sake that you can still watch over the World as you did in life.
