Burnaby- The High Tech City of Greater Vancouver

- " The Greater Vancouver Region is made up of many cities. Besides Vancouver, the big players in the region are creating their own legacies, & Burnaby by far is one of the best & perhaps even the brightest "
.
- Rhino

Where Vancouver is the heavy weight in the heavy weight in the region and Surrey has the migration numbers, Burnaby is, in my opinion the high tech modern rival for Vancouver in the area, and is becoming almost like a Vancouver # 2 ( in my eye's ). The style & class of structure being built is very appealing & shows a dawning giant in the civic weight class, if not by quantity then for sure by quality. Burnaby,un-like most of it's civic brethren has developed more then one focal city center. The city almost seems to be in competition with itself.

Please be patient as this project Im creating will take time to be fully complete & all reality, will never really be done, unless time comes to a stand still or man vanishes. I would ask all members to contribute of course, but when you do, please do the best you can to high light where a projects is being built with in the city ( IE : Brentwood, or Metro Town ). First on the the list,

BRENT-WOOD

One of the biggest projects in a city filled with big projects that lays in a region loaded with big projects, is the redevelopment of Brentwood Mall.

The re-build at Brent-Wood mall is not the only thing going on in Brent-wood, not by a long shot.

MORE TO COME SOON

A trip down Kingsway yesterday heading to the VRCA allowed for some decent pictures, when it was safe and I was at a stand still.
( Taking pictures while driving is not a good idea and illegal on top of it )

I will be continuing the Burnaby thread over the next few days in an expansion of different regions of the city as I had started previously.

Great looking skyline! Somewhat similar to down here in Bellevue, Wa, only bigger!

The Kings way corridor is my favorite place in all of the Vancouver Metro area.

Skyline is starting to cluster from a distance.
