Need help identifying a highrise in Vancouver

Hi all, does anyone recognize this nice highrise (supposedly) in Vancouver?

I'd appreciate any kind of information: year built, architect, address, etc...

My source says it's in Vancouver. Is there any specific reason for you to doubt it?

And yes, as you correctly guessed, it's an old photo... 60s or 70s most likely.

It could be in Vancouver but I never seen it, I have been living in Vancouver for a long time and I doubt the city would demolished such a nice looking tower.

Don't see the picture, interesting that it would pop up in the national archives of Estonia?

I found it and it is indeed in Vancouver, in the westend to be exact. The name of this tower is Pacific Surf and its on Pacific Ave.

Oh wow, Yellow Fever, well done, thanks so much!

I've now found out it was built in 1966 but don't know the architect...

The original photo I posted (which shows most of the time but disappears at points...) is from the Estonian National Archives because the building was built by a company founded by Estonian post-WWII emigrés (the Lepik brothers).

Well, potentially, maybe : )

I'm curating an exhibition about Estonian-Canadian architects, to be opened on Sept 22 in Toronto, at the Estonian Study Center (Tartu College, 310 Bloor St W). It's quite amazing how much cool stuff this small group of emigré architects built during 50s-80s. However, most of the architects were active in Toronto.

I'll post some stuff in the Canadian forums later this year!
