Lately, Kamloops is looking a bit like Vegas. A very deserted Vegas but still. Kind of looks like something out of a video game by CharlotteKinzie, on Flickr

Gorgeous. There is a reason Kamloops is my favorite Canadian city. I really hope I get the job I'm gunning for there in the next few months. I want to be a part of that scenery!

And me being born and raised there typically would have always agreed with you. Now... however I see how the desert back drop and how dead the city looks this time of year is almost as strong in ugly as summer is in beautiful.

If that makes sense...

Of course it does.

After moving to the outskirts of salmon arm and working in northern Alberta I sure do miss the weather in kamloops.

Hello! How many of you falling snow? As a city removes snow from the streets, much as it takes time?

Usually, we don't have much snow in our province in the winter, so sometimes it would take a few days to remove all the snow on the street because there are not many snow removal machines or trucks available.

Climbing towards the stars

Turns out you really don't need to struggle to fill your frame in a landscape shot when you're in a city that was built up the side of a mountain.

Taken in the Aberdeen neighbourhood of Kamloops, BC. Note the wonderful contrast between the sodium-vapour streetlights and the blue sky.

Didn't get the job. They decided to transfer internally.

Living in Vancouver, I'd still say Kamloops has the most beautiful setting of any city in the entire country. It is just magnificent. Jaw dropping really. The way Mt. Paul looms over the city, and is almost literally a straight incline all the way to the top. It is definitely a site to see from Pioneer or Riverside Park.

Oh well, I have another interview for a position with the same company on Vancouver Island. So I can do my time and put in for a transfer anywhere I want as it's an international company.
