good pics sathya. Hope you can keep us updated (if you live nearby/pass daily) as the project proceeds.

Shouldnt all the equipment be behind those metal barriers? Or is that just an advertisement

Dude , U seems to be confused! There are actually two construction sites one is Mumbai metro and other is BMC pipe line. Actually metro construction is happening inside the barricades and the site is having tight security. Like any other work of BMC they are also constructing this pipe line without any safety measures undertaken,

why is the article titled metronama? what does that mean? Isn't the Bangalore metro called nama metro.

I hope they release the train renderings/livery scheme soon as well and hope that the trains reflect the modern design of the stations and modern looking as well.

"nama" is actually a persian, urdu word literally means "chronicleing day to day activities or major events of something in someones or somethings life". back in the days, mughal emperors had their day to day activities or atleast major events chronicled in their rule such as baburnama, Akbarnama, Jahangirnama, Shahjahanama by well reputed writers on the payroll who can write very well.

Its interesting they picked this name in particular.

Guys, any idea if it is going to be overhanging cables (like in Delhi Metro) or a third rail that will
provide the traction in the Mumbai metro. Don't know if it has been covered before.
