of course it is possible, what did you think? . it has a very big footprint, so the foundation can be very massive.

Could your boss maybe ask his friend who is the architect of this monster or give a link to where he found it?

..btw we are not talking about the latest version of al burj, do we?

For some reason, all the document info included on the first page seems to indicate that this tower is more thought-out than even Jeddah's "Mile High". Of course there are lots of issues to address still that are not explained but this seems to be as solid as anything for the first steps to make this real.

Like anything of a visionary scale though, I do hope that this moves ahead and doesn't fall back into a fate similar to Tokyo's "Sky City" - equally well thought out and illustrated but yet not built due to financial and other various reasons.

Looks amazing, but its not gonna happen for at least another 40-50 years. What would be awesome is if Al Burj had this design, but it was still 1.4km high like before. That way we might actually see it go up.

It looks similar to the fictional casino in the movie Ocean's 13.

Yeah, I haven't even seen a render of the Jeddah Mile High Tower, and as for Sky City, I think Dubai and it's petrodollars are more likely to build a visionary building like this than Tokyo.

My feeling is that the only way technology, architecture, science, etc. to advance is to push the envelope and make something more advanced then ever built before. Once something like this is built, everybody will learn by watching what happened, and it is more likely that more towers like this one are built as soon as it already happened. Anybody following me here?

Perhaps someone at that company has inside knowledge?
