Now, when the world center of gravity is shifting to the east, Astana is positioning itself as the capital, better than uniting Europe and Asia. Therefore, Nursultan Nazarbayev is so important architectural appearance of the city.

Shopping and entertainment center "Khan Shatyr"

Team Architect also erected a new entertainment center for the capital of Kazakhstan - "Khan Shatyr".

Las Vegas is more a city of entertainment, leisure and commerce. Our capital Astana, sure, built primarily for long and comfortable life for residents of Kazakhstan, its guests, as well as for future generations of the country.

Baiterek Tower

Monument "Astana-Baiterek", where symbolically all - and the golden sun in the crown, and interior architecture, divided into three zones, and embodies the three pillars of the universe, known far outside Kazakhstan. This "poplar" (in kazakh "baiterek") made of metal, glass and concrete is unique in architectural thought and grandiose on execution: metal structure 105 meters high, weighing over 1000 tons is on five hundred piles. World's first ball with a diameter of 22 meters and weighing 300 tons of glass "chameleon" that changes color depending on the sunlight, "took" a record high. Towering over the young capital, it serves as an architectural symbol of renewal, a symbol of Astana, a symbol of free Kazakhstan.


Project Author of the monument - the famous English architect Norman Foster. Height of building is 105 meters. Diameter gold-plated ball 22 meters. The lower level takes four and a half meters below ground, where there are cafes, aquariums and a mini gallery "Baiterek". There is an elevator to the highest level - the ball, inside which a bar and a panoramic room. Sightseeing tours for visitors are in Kazakh, Russian and foreign languages.

Palace of the President of Kazakhstan "Akorda"

The residence of the President of Kazakhstan on the left bank of Astana was launched in September 2001. The official opening ceremony took place on December 24, 2004.
The palace combines elements of European style and impression. During construction on Kazakh white marble and granite. The total floor area of 36,720 square meters. meters, height, along with a spike - 80 meters.
The name "Akorda" goes back to the Eastern title of the first centralized state in the territory of modern Kazakhstan Ak (white) Horde in Russian chronicles referred to as the Golden Horde.
The residence is located so that it is logically completes the whole ensemble of the so-called Axis of Millennium, which includes the building of the Government, Parliament, the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the monument "Baiterek. Kazakhstan people emphasize that the residence "Akorda" symbolizes the revival and flourishing of sovereign Kazakhstan.
The pride of the palace is the Malachite Hall dome, designed for government and international negotiations at the highest level.
At the residence Akorda also posted on the Administration of the President of Kazakhstan.

2/3 of all the bulding in Astana are made with the asbestos fiber because is also an Kazakhstan product like China, Sud America state, Russia , and unfortunately Canada , who export only ( isn't so moral )...

I hope that in the future, this beautiful country will finisch to build using tossic materials.

However I like Astana and the country side...
