Did the Destruction of Chicago Public Housing decrease violent crime?

Or Just moved it Elsewhere?

Moved it elsewhere.

The city of Chicago has dealt with crime for half a century.

Time for the burbs to pick up the slack.

Down with the CHA! Housing should be privatized.

Has violent crime decreased city-wide since CPH was dismantled? What about metro wide?

This is an article from 2008 that discusses this. It primarily uses Memphis as a case study, I believe it also discusses Louisville and Chicago. It's been a while sense I read the article, but it's very interesting.
