PROJECT: SEAWORLD ABU DHABI

SEAWORLD ABU DHABI
The first SeaWorld marine life park outside the US is to be built on Yas Island.
SeaWorld and the Abu Dhabi government-backed Miral Asset Management said the park would open in 2022 on the tourism and entertainment hub.
The Abu Dhabi location will have a research, animal rescue and rehabilitation centre, which will open ahead of the park, and the theme park will focus on educating visitors about ocean conservation, officials said. The two companies had been in talks since 2011 about a park in Abu Dhabi.

SeaWorld chief executive Joel Manby said that the Abu Dhabi park would also be the first not to have orcas.
"This gives us a chance to position the new SeaWorld in a very strong way, repositioning it from a company that’s only about certain species to a company that is focused on ocean health," Mr Manby said.
The project will be built and operated by Miral and SeaWorld will licence its brand and provide expertise in animal care. The project is in the early stages of design, and company officials were not releasing details about its size, costs or types of attractions.

Location? Either next to Warner brothers, or along seafront location?

Thanks for sharing, absolutely huge plot, perhaps room for Busch Gardens and Discovery Cove? Great to see parks spreading across the island

Miral confirmed on Tuesday that Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, an indoor theme park spanning 1.65 million square feet, will be home to 29 rides, shows and interactive attractions.
The developer said in a statement that the park will also include retail outlets featuring a wide collection of merchandise inspired by Warner Bros franchises as well as a range of dining options.
Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi will bring together Super Heroes and Super-Villains from the DC Universe, including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, as well as Warner Bros’ iconic animated properties such as Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry, creating a family-friendly destination for fans of all ages, the statement said.
“We are very excited to be announcing the number of rides, shows and attractions for Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi,” said Mohamed Abdullah Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral. “We’re very delighted to see the park coming together and on track for the 2018 launch.”
“Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi marks an important step in the development of Yas Island as a complete leisure and entertainment destination, and we can’t wait to share it with the world,” he added.
Theming is currently underway throughout the park. Factory acceptance testing for all rides is nearly done, and delivery and installation of rides has already started.
Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, which comes as part of Yas Island’s commitment to attracting 48 million annual visits by 2022, is set to open in 2018, and will complement Miral’s Yas Island destination portfolio of themed parks, which includes Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, CLYMB, and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi which is scheduled to launch in 2022.
