Look at it as a compliment. Whoever it is, is green with envy. So they have to resort to such childish behaviour

Now, lets get back to talking about London construction boom.

It remember me when some english people where "pirating" the views of London thread to have 1 million faster than Paris, thing extremely stupide, but normal for some people .....whatever. Just remember that Paris is not alone in this case

I was just wondering why most of the projects in London does not reach a height of 200m? Are there any ordinance that limits the construction of skyscrapers?

There are several considerations that can inhibit buildings with height in London:

- Sightlines: There are 'protected sightlines' in London, which mean that some views are protected from having buildings and towers either obstructing them or interrupting them. This restricts the height of towers in certain places.

- Aviation restrictions: London has the world's busiest airport system and two of these airports, London Heathrow and London City, have approaches above Inner London. This limits the maximum height of buildings in Canary Wharf and The City respectively, as dictated by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

To give you an idea, this is the approach and landing at London City, Runway 09:

And this is the approach and landing at Heathrow, Runway 27L:

Unfortunately being topped out, I can't see how it could add any more floors

That 'only 1 floor' was the top floor, so I don't expect any more to be added subsequently. Common sense.

The building topped-out in less than a year, and is being fit-out concurrently with cladding.

It will be the new headquarters of the European Medicines Agency.

Fortunately the Wapping development has a wholly different design and build quality.

Keep this nonsense out of the projects thread.

Stick to discussing view count jumps in your dedicated thread in the French forum: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...48664&page=120 instead of diluting this one with claim and counter-claim.
