At least mas magaan pati yun.

BURI's contract is also include the full replacement of existing Signaling System. BURI tapped LSIS, a SoKor electronic firm to design and manufacture the new signaling system. LSIS design is CBTC or simply known as "moving block" signaling system similar to MRT2.

HOWEVER, Contract with CRRC Dalian stated that "8MLB's on board ATP system should be BOMBARDIER's Cityflo 250 technology" or the existing MRT3 signaling system. In connection to this contract, Dalian ordered 48 on board ATP system from Bombardier and manufactured in Sweden. Another thing is, DOTr spend Php 52 million for the upgrade of MAN900 system to EBI SCREEN 900 including its computers and monitors but the track side equipment remained.

So what is Usec Chavez's pointing out? BURI's contract for replacing the signaling system is only 24 months. So anu gagawin nila sa remaining 5 months? Another thing is, MRT3 system is designed in full block signaling system so bakit mo isshift sa moving block?

*AFAIK, wala pang official cancellation sa signaling replacement contract. I saw the paper, LSIS's design is subject for approval ng DOTr pa. Di ko lang alam ang verdict.
