It's a bit more complicated than that. The WACA and Subiaco Oval are managed by Perth Stadium Management which is an alliance between the WAFC, Delaware North and a couple of other companies.

The security expert was spot on - where's the integrated perimeter security measures? Now it's an after thought.

And why is it a "known" afterthought? due to the so called reckless and criminal acts of these very "bad" teenagers. Did they do any vandalism? Did they hurt anyone? No. They were stupid for having teenage fun but their stupidity only served to show the inexcusable stupidity of those that now want to punish them.

So instead of putting the spotlight on their punishment. These teenagers revealed the inadequacies and who knows, perhaps may have inadvertently saved future lives assuming better perimeter security measures will now be put in place.

Youíre framing this issue like these are guys white hat hackers - which would be fine if they acted like it- but they didnít because they are kids looking for yolo thrilz

To add some context to my take on this: my cousin recently died in the city climbing on a building for this kind of thrill and also had apparently recently climbed the new stadium for the same reason

I wasn't trying to frame it like that at all and condolences to your loss. I was trying to say that the response by certain authorities concentrated on the "crime" rather than the naive innocence of this by stupid (and I did call them stupid) teenagers revealing more than a potential security thread. The point I was trying to make is that their naivety has possibly made the security levels more to what they should have been.

Fair enough. Hopefully there is plenty of scope for dealing with this sort of activity and the problem of dodgy stadium security and not just bundle them together as one issue.

Yeah that's a fair call. I do owe you an apology though - I obviously displayed my ignorance of the issue you raised in a spat of being pissed off with what I saw. Sorry.
