Shibuya-inspired store will open in December

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Parkamaya, an Asian fashion retail store inspired by the fashion fusion culture of Shibuya, Japan, will open its doors in Malaysia this December.

Introducing 35 brands once fully-tenanted, the 73,000 sq f. concept store in Fahrenheit88 willhouse Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, Thai, Singaporean and Malaysian brands.

Parkamaya will offer an eclectic mix of fashion apparel, accessories, beauty products, gifts, cafes as well as an entertainment arcade.

“Fashion in the East is fast-growing and expanding across the world.

“Many people now look for alternative styles that can complement their personalities.

“This trend is picking up especially amongst the youth who have increasingly more exposure to different styles and fashion.

“They are hungry for new ways to express themselves and Parkamaya aims to provide the avenue for these discerning shoppers to fulfil their needs,” said Parkamaya marketing representative Nancy Tan.

Parkamaya is owned by ER Concepts Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Akademi Ekuestrian Selangor Sdn Bhd).

Shibuya of Southeast Asia!

PARKAMAYA Kuala Lumpur, the all Asian fashion hub (Opening soon: December 2012)

The 73,000 sq ft concept store is set to open on the 3rd floor of fahrenheit88 in December 2012. PARKAMAYA will add to the variety of the thriving Bukit Bintang shopping district, and will host an estimated 35 all-Asian brands once fully tenanted, taking up the whole third floor of fahrenheit88.

Inspired by the Shibuya district of Japan, PARKAMAYA will essentially be an unconventional Asian fashion concept store, housing Japanese inspired labels including Chic Yamada and F block, as well as Korean inspired labels such as Corgi and Gage-O. It will also be home to PARCO next Next Pop-up Store @ fahrenheit88, a designer incubator programme brought in by PARCO (Singapore), carrying merchandise of 10 Singaporean designers. There will also be F&B outlets in PARKAMAYA including Taiwanese beverage chain Mr. Wish as well as a Japanese themed entertainment arcade.

Some of the 35 fashion brands, many of which will be new in Malaysia:

1. Chic Yamada (Japan)

2. Musee Platinum Tokyo (Japan)

3. Corgi Korea (S.Korea)

4. Gage-O (S.Korea)

5. Mix Hit-T (Thailand)

6. PARCO next NEXT (Singapore)

7. Episene (Singapore)

8. Star ThreeSixty (Malaysia)

9. F-block (Malaysia)

“Fashion in the East is fast growing and expanding across the world. Many people now look for alternative styles that can complement their personalities. This trend is picking up especially amongst the youth who have increasingly more exposed to different styles and fashion. They are hungry for new ways to express themselves and Parkamaya aims to provide the avenue for these discerning shoppers to fulfil their needs,” said Nancy Tan, Marketing rep of Parkamaya.

what ? Sg wang? I think they need to bomb the sg wang ...it just doesn't suit Bukit Bintang today and it can be easily replaced by Time Square.

Sg. Wang is better than many malls in terms of merchant offerings. I have more things to buy there than many other 'chic and trendy' malls. Remove it from BB and I believe BB would loses half of its charms and businesses.
