Sorry if this is a stupid question but does mid strength taste noticeably different to full?

It can, the better breweries do do some pretty decent Mid-strengths that are close to full flavour. Beers like Young Henry's Real Ale, Lil Creatures Rogers, Colonial Small Ale, even Gage Roads Pils 3.5 are pretty decent beers.

Bug that. I don't want only mid-strength beer at the footy

Hopefully a new Commissioner won't mean automatic resistance from the police.

The issues are paying a hefty price for a poor tasting, mid strength beer. Change at least one of those three factors and things are looking up!

They need to stop punishing the 90% of fans who can go to the game and drink full strength beer all day without causing any trouble just because there are a handful who do cause trouble. If someone drinks alcohol and causes trouble, just ban them from the venues.

It was only a small number of people who caused trouble at the MCG but instead of banning those individuals and otherwise trying to go after those causing the problems, they decided to ban full strength beer instead (which resulted in CUB inventing the apparently-undrinkable VB Mid in the yellow cans just so they could keep selling their product at the MCG)

Although full strength VB is also undrinkable.

I reckon it would be more like 99% of fans who could remain civil while drinking full strength booze.

Agreed. It's almost as good as the Atomic Pale Ale.

The Single Fin Summer Ale is the way to go if they allow full strength, IMO. It's only 4.5% and has enough flavour to keep those who enjoy ales happy, whilst also being light-bodied enough to appease those who generally stick to lager.

It's not like they don't do lagers.

A Derby crowd with a few Little Doves in ya would be a sight to behold.

Little Dove would actually be a good idea. It's full strength but hard to drink too many as it's a pretty heavy beer. Like Feral Hop Hog.

Get Two Birds to make an exclusive mid strength. A lot of their stuff is brewed at Gage Roads.
