At least I make an effort to be constructive. Read oneborneveryminute's posts - every single one of them dripping with hostility and sarcasm. He should be banned.

No I don't think he should and he wouldn't as the site has a pretty laid back outlook, something I support.

I have raised his posts, those which personally attack or insult other members, with a moderator previously and they've spoken to him.

A new Luas line under Glasnevin is one I haven't heard before.

No brainer. Metro North kills lots of birds with one stone. Borrowing costs are at record lows and demand is there for the private sector. So get on with it.

MN is the only long term solution. Hopefully the "value for money" criterion factors this in!

DU will get the nod. But a 200,000 turnout on Wed might complicate things cos there's no votes in transport infrastructure

A Clongriffin spur in addition to Dart Underground is the only sensible option. They should build it all as part of the same project.

There's more chance of enormouse publishing a thesis refuting non-commutative geometry than of the Clongriffin spur getting built.
Dem wud be hard sums for yew Enormouse.

A spur from Clongriffin with DU would be great to connect nearly every train station in the country to Dublin Airport

Except without 4 tracking Connolly to Clongriffin at monopoly numbers Of Euros every Dort will be full by the time it gets to Howth Junction. That'll be a great laugh for the daily commuters.
So won't happen.
Just the sort of drivel that swills around in what passes for a brain in the Foncy Dan.

So we can build a 7.5km tunnel underground, but the idea that we could put quad tracking is beyond countenace???

Anyways, all I said is that it would be great to connect the Airport to the National rail network (Which is true). Whether the cost is prohibitive or not is another matter.

Back under your bridge there sunshine

Why don't you go back to the Justin Bieber forum where you belong?

DU as planned would treble Dublin train passenger numbers from 33 million to 100 million.
A Clongriffin spur with the necessary quad tracking would cost approx 400 million Euros just to provide a train service from the airport that would be slower and more crowded that the Aircoach.

You're as thick as 2 planks Foncy Dan. Does that come natural to you or have you worked on it?

This seems to be some sort of transport chat room for special needs train enthusiasts

Explain to me how it would be slower than the Aircoach? How long do you think it would take to go from Connolly to the airport, given that it takes less than 25 minutes to go to Malahide which is further away and includes an intermediate stop?

There's no need to be so churlish. I don't think using special needs as a demeaning slap down to forum members is entirely appropriate nor justified, it's not tolerated on the forum and if you continue to use it then I'll speak to the moderators again.
