Small part I believe. I think nightlife, young people who want it, and housing bust bringing down rent is what made the shift in the last 2, 3 yrs. I moved to the area in 03 but I was keeping up with everything they had planned....kendall sucked for a then single 24 yr old looking for girls at night hahahaha.

I moved to Miami in 98 based on nothing more than a job offer and life long love of the Hurricanes. So...
Well there you go...!!!
Is it too late for a 1998 thread called...Will Najeh Davenport fill Little Havana Apartments???

Quote:
The Escobar Barber Shop is more than a place to get a shave and a haircut.

For decades, it’s been a place to hear stories and see the occasional celebrity.

Comedian Leopoldo Fernández “Tres Patines” has been here. So has legendary boxer Roberto “Mano de Piedra’’ Durán and former Senator Mel Martínez.

And now, the shop at 803 SW Fifth Ave. in Little Havana, can add Miami Heat superstar LeBron James to the list.

Escobar’s was the backdrop for LeBron’s day-in-the-life commercial for the Samsung Galaxy Note II.
