New proposed condo - Renoir Suites (Calgary)

Renoir Suites

New condo for Calgary proposed. A small one at 15 storeys and only 48 units.

On 12th ave between 7th and 8th street SW

I think it is a nice design, what do you think?

12th Ave, 7th & 8th St... wow, this one should really stand out from the old buildings near it, even if it isn't very tall.

EDIT: Wait a sec, isn't that somewhere near the ATCO building in this pic?

It is a bit out of the frame to the left of the pic. There is a map of the location on the project's website. see link in first post.

I quite like the design. It is a small scale project compared to a lot of the other ones proposed or under construction right now, but this one is really good for its context on 12th ave, and shows that Calgary's standard of design is generally quite high now. It is nice to feel that this is kind of a ho-hum project considering we would have been begging for a project like this even 3 years ago.

Decent building but nothing to go streaking-down-the-street-screaming about.
