Exhibition of Iranian culture around the world - Images

Hi Iranian forum!

The purpose of this thread is share images and information of any kind of exhibition about Iran around the world. In my case I want to share this ...

----------

Recently in Bogotá (Colombia's capital) there was an exhibition of Iranian art and culture, in commemoration of the 30st anniversary of the Islamic revolution. The exhibition was organized by Iran's embassy in Colombia.

Held at the Museum of Traditional Costumes, located in the downtown historic city center.

I'd like to share with you some pictures that I took in the exhibition, which consisted mainly of calligraphy and Tazhib, typical costumes, everyday life, etc.

In addition, there were specialists in the days of exposure were explained and detailed information about issues, and also special offers and information about tourism and travel, courtesy of Iranian Embassy.

Here the pics, taken in a rainy day:

Bogotá's Historic City Center | Iranian culture Exhibition | La Candelaria

The House - Museum of Traditional Costumes/Manuelita Saenz Home. (the photo shows a school group that was making the visit, for them, guided):

Around (near you can find the "Teatro Colón" and other landmark buildings).

I hate this truck

Towards the eastern hills:

Fence with information of the temporary exhibition:

Back in the house, an interior fountain:

Manuela Saenz statue:

Interior garden:

In the first floor is the permanent exhibition, but because you can't use flash and did not have much battery I did not do anything and the photos were awful, really.

Up...:

Some elements:

Exhibition of Calligraphy and Tazhib (Persian).

Throughout the centuries, Islam in its expansion process, in the current Iran has taken several typical elements of the previous Persian Empire, which have given rise to very beautiful and written expressions, as well as a beautiful artistic quality (you know that very well ).

Typical elements...

Some dress varies according to region and the cultural influence (Again, you know that... ):

Giving a tour in the house:

Leaving the house to drive my car...

I'm just kidding , it's a diplomatic vehicle belonging to the Embassy of Iran in Colombia:

Surroundings to the "Plaza de Bolívar" (and again the ugly truck):

Some of the house...

The church of "San Ignacio", In restoration process.

Bonus!

Military Museum:

Street...:

Some vehicles of the Military Museum permanent exhibition (not including the Renault 21 )

And of course, exhibition credits...

Thank you very very much Aireos. That is very nice. I have to say though that right now I am more mesmorized at the beauty of Bogota than the exhibit, lol. Nice exhibit anyway

Thank you!.

Although it was a simple Exhibition, there was very good conferences held, which were conducted by experts in the field.

I'm glad that you have liked the images and the city.

Now would be good share and seek more exhibitions or issues related about Iranian Culture around the world.

Greetings...

what exactly is this? is it a mosque? it looks kindof persian but it has heavy african and moorish influences, especially the shape of the dome, the tilework is very persian though
