shyaman's gallery

A click here and there... here's a collection of my mostly not-so-good and occasional extraordinary shots.

Be prepared for a deluge of photos...

SCULPTURE BY THE SEA

Sculpture by the Sea is an annual exhibition of sculptures and other forms of visual art on display along the fringes of Sydney's Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk. This year’s 12th edition had more than 150 art pieces on display from October 16 to November 2.

From the city, we took a train from Town Hall station to Bondi Junction…

… then took a bus to Bondi Beach.

We get off at a hilly area before the beach to get a strategic view of the exhibition site. Surprisingly, some permanent sculptures that are not part of the exhibition, are scattered on open spaces.

Further downhill is the Coastal Walk…

Sydney’s most famous beach, Bondi Beach, is not far away.

The first sculpture on exhibit that we saw…

“The Bush Ranger 2008”
Artist: Campbell Robertson-Swann
Materials: stainless steel, mild steel, painted
Price: $33,000

… and then there were some more… err… a LOT more actually.

”The First Agreement”
Artist: Anton McMurray
Materials: Atlantic cedar, stainless steel, concrete
Price: $23,500

Sculpted by wind and sea, these rocks are competing for attention as well…

Time for a break… glad it’s low tide…

These rocks fascinate me…

Where are you going bro?

A surprisingly not-so-crowded Bondi Beach from afar…

… and a lady in red from not so far…

This couple rocks!

And this bloke rocks too!

Speaking of rocks…

… there’s plenty of them!

Wow! A thread wherein the main focus isn't the adventures and hijinks of the "Babol Gang!"

Awesome photos, so far! Wow us some more, please!
