...I btw really enjoyed my stay. It was very interesting especially because I lived in the middle of the old medina. I can definitely recommend a visit.

Nice artistic pictures, but it seems like you took snaps of poor areas only :p

I stayed in the old part of town - I was only outside the medina (the old city walls) once to visit some garden (forgot the name). But I guess that the old/poor part is also the most interesting part for a European tourist.

Since I was only there for two days I only had time for the traditional side (even though it was very tourist focused). Next time I'll come to Morocco I'll visit the non tourist places.

Thanks, I've been here before though when I had a few questions before going to Marrakech.

Glad you like them. I use a Canon Eos 450D and all this pictures where taken with the kit-lens. I've also done a little photoshopping one some of the pictures to make the colors stand out a little more.

Marrakech is gorgeous, eventhow it has two drawbacks

1) The salesmen in the Medina are annoying, they want to force you to buy (thats why I prefer the modern malls and shops outside Marrakechs Medina)

2) Its too warm for a Northern Moroccan like me, who is used to 27°C in Summer instead of 40°C !!
