Stockholm-old town.

Stockholm on a saturday, january 7th 2005 and +8C and heavy rain.

Sorry for the small pictures. Photobucket resized too much

boats,boats and boats....

some house and 4 Atlas or Zeus (?) holding up the house

the same house, its in the district of Östermalm

lazy birds...

The Old Town of Stockholm
The offical language in the Old Town today seems to be italian

I'm really sorry for the small pictures.

narrow streets everywhere. I love it

Even in the old town you can get a whole street for yourself but maybe because its winter and that its was raining

sorry for the lack of sun, but we'll get it tomorrow

The thing that makes it a bit more unique is that its on an island and the island is not flat, not at all but its no cliff either. Its also very narrow sometimes only a meter wide streets

The swedish academy, the ones who decide which one that will get the Nobel Prize. It's also a museum, the Nobel museum, i guess

The big/old square

The Parliament house. We have now left the old town

The city hall and the goverments residence, Rosenbad

Rosenbad and the The queen street.

beside the Clara Chruch

Grand Hotel and the Strand street which all its nice houses

Stockholm gets periodically lots of attention. The city looks great in some areas and really shitty in other areas. For instance "Sergelstorg" area, for you whom know the city, looks really shitty. So it has some nice and ugly architecture... like any other city basically. When it comes to people the city is filled with assholes most of the times in the clubs. That is the general view here in Sweden about people in Stockholm. The girls are bautiful, but extremely prude in many peoples opinion. Drinks at the clubs are extremely expensive. I've heard that drinks are very expensive in London, the fact that I noticed is that drinks are more expensive in Stockholm (PLEASE take away the freakin' Systembolaget! OK, the alcohol politics has nothing to do with Stockholm, but still). Other than that it is a nice city, but that's about it. Nothing really special to do. No extremly cool clubs. They all are the same basically, all the clubs at Stureplan are the same, all the clubs on Södermalm are the same etc... no club really wants to stand out from the crowd. Which is weird in my opinion. If anyone wants to visit Stockholm, do so in summer time
