Melbourne at night B/W warning.

National Gallery Victoria.

For the people who never go into the Vic section.

A few pics from Princes Bridge.

Magnificent Princess' Theatre. Wasn't lit up as well as I hoped unfortunately.

Regent Theatre the night before the Lion King opened.

Forum Theatre.

A quiet stroll along the promenade........

.....not any more.

Melbourne has to be the best night time city in Australia and one of the best in the world. Its great at the evening "glitz" thing. Always loved walking around in the evening with all the buildings lit up, the fairy lights up in the trees along the streets & boulevards - as the trams rumble past casting sparks off from the wires along the way. Melbourne really is electrifying and great at little things like this. Its its attention to the little things, the detail which make Melbourne world class and among the most livable places anywhere. Great photos!

It's supposed to be there, it's outside of Crown Casino, and the casino owners waste large ammounts of gas with their firery explosions every Friday and Saturday nights to show how much money they can afford to just piss away. Scares the crap out of the tourists, though which is always amusing.

Top pics as well by the way.

Why does everything Melbourne have to be compared to something in Sydney? No offence or disrespect intended (the opposite), but let it be for once Cul

What beautiful, beautiful pictures! Well done sirbugalugs!! If only I knew how to take pics like that.... hehe

Oh, and while I enjoy the lights in the trees in Melbourne, I have to say that the tree lights in Manila (Philippines) leave anything in Australia for dead!

But I notice that the colours of Melbourne's tree lights get changed too. Blue/purple in winter and green in summer. It always looks so nice down St Kilda Road at night.
