8/10. Would have been one of New York's classics. It had a great design and powerful stance in lower Manhattan. I just don't understand how NYC would tear this beauty down for 1 Liberty Plaza.

9/10...It's the Singer Building! Look at the ornamentation and details. This big guy OWNED the Lower Manhattan skyline even before the Woolworth!

Its narrow floorplates were inefficient. The 'renewal' craze of NYC at the time led to its destruction (similar to why Penn Station was destroyed).

I like its replacement as much as the original though. I'm probably one of few.
