Fremd und geheimnisvoll
Türme aus rotem Gold
Kalt wie das Eis"

i'd say London and Moscow are very similar, they are both slightly seperate in terms of geography and politics from Europe, London built the first undergorund system Moscow wasn't far behind, both have alot of history both have been attacked by the Germans in WWII, London built Canary Wharf Moscow are building their CBD. to be honest there are only rivalries because they are so similar and easy to compare

And don't forget about the size and population. When someone tries to compare transport problems and solutions in Moscow and Paris or Helsinki, I always say that the only city in the Europe with such scale of transport issues is London.

I do know but I just wanted to state that for Moscow they are standard they are everywhere and they are numerous.. For London they are not. And such things as the Shard, which are huge, look as if they stand in a desert field.
